Would you describe yourself as a ‘novice’ or ‘experienced’ researcher? Novice

Why did you get decide to get involved in research?

I’ve always been the type to ask “why?” and this has lead to involvement in many in-house projects aiming to improve treatment quality and patient care.

Who encouraged you to get involved in research and who do you go to for advice when you need it?

My now supervisor inspired me to turn my research into a PhD. I get advice from a friend who has completed a PhD and is now working as a post doc. Her knowledge has been invaluable to me.

What sort of activities/studies have you been involved in?

Many departmental projects, including commissioning new planning techniques. My PhD involves retrospective planning work, cone beam tomography data and hopefully in the future a clinical trial.
